Kissakorttien kokoelmasta: 24. / From Cat Card Collection: 24

Tämä on selvästi naivistinen kissakortti, ajaton ja jotenkin pysähtynyt. Tunnelma on hiukan surrealistinenkin. Kuva on Christine Ciprianon "Féline". Kortin takana on teksti: Galerie naïfs et primitifs ja osoitteet Pariisissa ja New Yorkissa. Ikävä kyllä en ole koskaan käynyt tällaisessa galleriassa, ja nähtävästi se on suljettu jo kymmenisen vuotta sitten. Harmi!

Olen vuosien aikana kerännyt aikamoisen määrän kissakortteja. Museoiden kaupat ovat oikeita aarreaittoja kissakorttien kerääjälle. Useat korteistani ovat taidekortteja.

This is a clearly naïve cat card, timeless and somehow stagnant. The feeling is a bit surrealistic. The picture is Christine Cipriano´s "Fèline". On the backside of the card there is the text: Galerie naïfs et primitifs and the addresses in Paris and new York. Unfortunately I have never visited this gallery, and it seems to have closed about ten years ago.

 

I have collected quite a large number of cat cards over decades. Museum shops are 

treasure-troves for a cat card collector. Several of my cat cads are art cards.
