SLÀMA PRESS

Uusin työkaluni on Sláma Pressin pieni pyöreä tela. Pyörivä alusta on vain  7 cm leveä ja siinä on kolmisenkymmentä pientä pyörivää kuulaa. Pyöreällä kahvalla saa telaan hyvän painon  ja sitä voi liikttaa linopiirroksen päällä pyörivin liikkein. Tämä on aivan erinomainen työväline vedostaessani pieniä perhosia, lintuja ja muita erillisiä ns. linoleimasimia. Ja tulos on tarkka ja hyvä. Ja mukana tulee myös kätevä puinen teline säilytysta varten. Suosittelen!

My newest tool is a small round roller from Sláma Press. The rotating base is only 7 cm wide and has thirty small rotating balls. The round handle gives the roller a good weight and it can be moved over the linocut with rotating movements. This is an absolutely excellent tool when printing small butterflies, birds and other separate so-called lino stamps. And the result is accurate and good. And it also comes with a handy wooden stand for storage. I recommend!

SLÀMA PRESS

Tilasin Tsekistä uuden linopiirrosten vedostuksessa käytettävän painon Sláma Pressin. Tämähän toimii! Paino on aika painava, ja siinä on kaksi puiseen kahvaan pujotettavia metallisia lisäpainoja. Sláma Pressin pohjalla on metalliset kuulalaakerit ja se ikään kuin liukuu paperin päällä melkein itsestään ja kevyesti. Väri tosiaan tarttuu paperiin kuten oheisesta videosta näkee. Kännykällä filmatessa paperin irrotus linolevystä yhdellä kädellä ei ihan käden käänteessä onnistukaan.

I ordered from Czech Republic a new baren used in the printing of linocuts: Sláma Press. This is really working! The baren is quite heavy, and it has two extra metallic discs which you can thread to the wooden handle. At the bottom of Sláma Press there are metallic ball bearings, and it is like sliding along the paper almost by itself and lightly. The colour really sticks to the paper like you can see in the video attached below. When filming with a phone the releasing of the paper with one hand does not go in a jiffy.
