Tampereen taidemuseossa on jälleen vuoden nuoreksi taiteilijaksi valitun tekijän näyttely. Nyt vuorossa on Emma Jääskeläinen (s. 1988) ja hänen kiviveistoksensa. Osa töistä on niin isoja, että niiden työstäminen tuntuu melkein mahdottomalta pienellä taltalla. Näyttelyn ohessa olevat videot avaavat työprosessia hienosti. Monissa veistoksissa on muotoja takapuolista ja kämmenistä sormineen. Kivien pinta on herkullinen ja kuviot varsinkin norjalaisessa marmorissa tosi kauniita. Joissakin teoksissa on mukana löydettyjä esineitä, simpukankuoria. Mukana on myös hämmästyttävästi tekstiilitöitä, vastakkain pehmeää ja kovaa.

There is again an exhibition of an artist chosen as the young artist of the year at the Tampere Art Museum. Now its the turn of Emma Jääskeläinen (b. 1988) and her stone sculptures. Some of these works are so big, that making them seems almost impossible with a small chisel. Videos at the exhibition open up finely her work process. In many sculptures there are shapes of buttocks and palms with fingers. The surface of the stone is delicious, and especially in the Norwegian marble the patterns are beautiful. IN some works you can even find found objects, shells. Surprisingly there are also textile works, soft and hard against each other.
