Kiinalaisen Lin Xun vesivärimaalaus "Kissa katsoo perhosta" on vuodelta 1854. Tässä kuvassa on keväinen tunnelma. Värit ovat heleitä, vihreää ja keltaista. Ilma on kevyt. Keltainen perhonen piiloutuu keltaisten kukkien joukkoon. Kissan heleän keltaiset silmät katsovat ylös perhoseen ja hassun näköiset käpälät tarrautuvat uuteen numrikkoon. Kevät on aina sama.

Olen vuosien aikana kerännyt aikamoisen määrän kissakortteja. Museoiden kaupat ovat oikeita aarreaittoja kissakorttien kerääjälle. Useat korteistani ovat taidekortteja.

Chinese Lin Xu's watercolour painting is from the year 1854. This picture has a spring-like feeling. The colours are vivid, green and yellow. The air is light. A yellow butterfly is hiding among the yellow flowers. The bright yellow eyes of the cat are looking up at the butterfly, and the funny looking paws are clinging to the new grass. Spring is always the same.

I have collected quite a large number of cat cards over decades. Museum shops are treasure-troves for a cat card collector. Several of my cat cads are art cards.
