KIssakorttien kokoelmasta: 51 / From Cat Card Collection: 51

Kissat viihtyvät kirjakaupoissa. Suunnilleen tämän kortin ilmestymisaikoina, vuonna1987, pelästyin Lontoossa yhdessä   Camden Townin kirjakaupassa nukkuvaa kissaa, jota en ensin ollut huomannut lainnkaan, kun otin käsiini kirjaa juuri kissan vierestä, ja se heräsi. Tämä kissa ainakin vartioi kauppansa kirjoja. Kuvan on ottanut Mitchell Simon ja kuvan nimi on The Gotham Book cat.

Olen vuosien aikana kerännyt aikamoisen määrän kissakortteja. Museoiden kaupat ovat oikeita aarreaittoja kissakorttien kerääjälle. Useat korteistani ovat taidekortteja.

Cats feel at home in book stores. At the time of the publishing of this cat card in 1987 I was scared by a cat in a book shop in Camden Town, London, when I didn't notice a sleeping cat reaching a book just beside the cat and it woke. This cat at least is guarding the books of it´s book shop. The photograph was taken by Mitchell Simon and it´s  called The Gotham Book Cat.

I have collected quite a large number of cat cards over decades. Museum shops are treasure-troves for a cat card collector. Several of my cat cads are art cards.
