Englantilaisen Ruskin Spearin (1911-1990) dramaattisessa maalauksessa Musta kissa on sekä hienot värit ja muodot, pehmeää täyteläistä keltaista, vihreää ja ruskeaa, seinän ja maton kulmikkaat kuviot. Huoneessa on aika tummaa, mutta narsissit hehkuvat samoin kuin mustan kissan silmät. Onko maalari häirinnyt kissan unia vai onko kissa hypännyt tuolille ja varastanut kuvan?

In this dramatic painting Black Cat by English Ruskin Spear (1911-1990) there are fine colours and also shapes, soft and mellow yellow, green and brown, the angular patterns on the wall and carpet. It´s rather dark in the room, but the daffodils are gleaming as are the eyes of the cat. Has the painter disturbed the dreams of the cat or has the cat jumped on the chair and stole the picture?
