Kuvassa poseeraa englantilainen romanttisten romaanien tekijä Elinor Glyn kissoineen (Candice ja Zadig). Kuvan on ottanut englantilainen valokuvaaja Paul Tanqueray (1905-1991). Hän oli erikoistunut kuuluisuuksien ja aikansa julkkisten muotokuviin, ja kuvat heijastivat aina hyvin aikakauttaan. Tässä kuvassa on runsaasti pehmeyttä, vieno hymy ja jonkinlaista uhmakkuutta. You could perhaps guess the epoch from the funny hat and the Art Deco decoration of the shirt pattern.  Elinor Glyn is posing for the photo with her cats Candice and Zadig. She was an English author of romantic novels. The photo was taken by English photographer Paul Tanqueray (1905-1991). He specialized in portraits of famous people and celebrities of their time, and his photos were reflecting nicely their own time. There is a lot of softness, subtle smile and some kind of pride in this picture. Perhaps Glyn seems to care little about the critics' negative ratings if only the public likes her romantic and a bit risque novels. Be gentle to each other!
