Kari Cavén's (b. 1965) large exhibition at Gallery Himmelblau is expanding to the nearby buildings, and what a fine and fun exhibition! Cavén is making arte povera inspired sculptures and reliefs from trash material, left overs, wood, metal and cast-off used objects, saws, kettles or cloth stands. There is humour in the works and they make you feel good. A wall full of clocks is ticking like an old grandfather´s clock. You pay attention in these works to different materials, their patterns, surfaces and colours.
Tämä ei ole Cavénin taidetta, vaan vanhassa tehdashallissa ollut mittari./ This not Cavén's art but a meter in the old factory hall. |
