Kissakorttien kokoelma 3. / Cat card collection 3.

Miten on mahdollista, että Henri Cartier-Bresson osui aina kameroineen oikeaan paikkaan juuri oikeaan aikaan. Millään hän ei ainakaan voinut lavastaa kaikkia valokuviaan. Vai ottiko hän kuvia koko ajan kuin katselisi silmillä ja vain parhaat otokset ovat jääneet paperille. 

Tässä kortissa mies ja kissa keskustelevat New Yorkissa vuonna 1947.


Olen vuosien aikana kerännyt aikamoisen määrän kissakortteja. Suuri osa korteista on hankittu Lontoosta tai muilta matkoilta. Erityisesti British Museumin ja Victoria & Albert museon kaupat ovat oikeita aarreaittoja kissakorttien kerääjälle. Useat korteistani ovat taidekortteja. 

How is it possible, that Henri Cartier-Bresson happened to be at the right spot just at the right time. Al least he could not stage all his photographs. Or did he take photographs all the time like watching with his eyes, and only the best pictures have remained.

I have collected quite a large number of cat cards over decades. Many of my cat cards have been purchased in London or on other trips. Especially British Museum Shop and Victoria & Albert Museum Shop are treasure-troves for a cat card collector. Several of my cat cads are art cards.
