"Tassut kohti seikkailua" on Terhi Mickelssonin kissakortti. Emokissalla on selässään kaksi valkoista pentua ja ilme on uhmakas ja hiukan palokas. Mitä kaikkea oikein odottaakaan seikkailuissa? Kuvan sävyt ja viivat ovat herkulliset. Olisiko tämän  työnn tekniikkana monoprintti/monotype?

 This Terhi Mickelsson's cat card is called "Paws Towards the Adventure". The mother cat has two white kittens on her back, and her expression is defiant and perhaps a bit scared. What ever will be waiting there in the adventures? The hues of this picture re delicious. Would this be a monoprint/monotype?

Terhi Michelssonin monotypiasta tehdyn kortin nimi on "Kanien kehräävä ratsu". Michelssonin töissä on paljon eläimiä, usein hevosia, hirviä, jäniksiä, kaneja ja kissojakin. Tässä  kaksi iloista kania on hypännyt hiukan hölmistyneen kissan selkään. Kuvassa minua viehättävät kissan silmät ja kaunis syvän punainen väri sekä hennosti näkyvät ääriviivat.

Olen vuosien aikana kerännyt aikamoisen määrän kissakortteja. Museoiden kaupat ovat oikeita aarreaittoja kissakorttien kerääjälle. Useat korteistani ovat taidekortteja.

This card made from Terhi Michelsson´s monotype is called "The Purring Horse of the Rabbits". There are a lot of animals in Michelsson´s works, often horses, elks, hares, rabbits and even cats. Here two merry rabbits have jumped on a stunned cat. Especially I like in this picture the eyes of the cat, beautiful deep red colours, and the delicately displayed outlines. 

I have collected quite a large number of cat cards over decades. Museum shops are treasure-troves for a cat card collector. Several of my cat cads are art cards.
