Gallery Saskia in Tampere is now full of art by three graphic artists: Beata Joutsen, Laura Pohjonen and Hanna Tammi. It is a bit confusing for the viewer, that the works are placed "tumbled" and the works by one artist are not together. But the ensemble is lively, the styles are changing and so are the ways of making art. All these artists really are masters of many techniques: etchings, ink drawing, fabric, metal, collages, and a lot of wonderful monoprints or unique variations. Hanna Tammi is describing the life of women in her usually black and white works, critisizing or humorously. Beata Joutsen's works are colourful, cheerful, usually with butterflies and leaves. Laura Pohjonen's works are the most tender and nuanced in this group. It is best to concentrate to this exhibition one art work at a time.
