Tänä vuonna sain postissa joulukortin, jossa on kissa. Mistä mahtaakaan johtua, mutta kissat ovat joulukorteissa aika harvinaisia. Tämän kortin originaali on ruotsalaisen Lena Peterssonin vesivärityö. Pohjoismaisen joulun merkit ovat nähtävissä: paksu lumipeite, lämmin valo talossa sisällä, ikkunasta kurkkivat lapset, nurkan takaa tarkkaileva tonttu ja kissalle on jätetty lautasellinen puuroa rappusille. Kissa kyllä näyttää hiukan hämmästyneeltä ja kurottaa arastellen kohti lautastaan.

This year I received by post one Chistmas card with a picture of a cat. What ever is the reason, but cats are not very popular in Christmas cards. The Original for this card is Lena Petersson´s water colour from Sweden. The signs of a Nordic Christmas are visible: a thick cover of snow, warn light inside the house, children peering through the window, an elf watching around the corner and someone has left a plate of porridge for the cat on the steps. The cat looks undeniably a little surprised and timidly reaches out for it´s plate.
