VANHA LATO / OLD BARN

Tämä öljyvärityön tein lapsuuteni kesämökillä Hankkilassa lähellä Raumaa. Kuvassa on hylätyn maalaistalon jo puoliksi luhistunut lato. Näin isoa (95 x110 cm) taulua oli hauska ja hankala tehdä ulkona luonnossa. Tuntuu, että vanhat ja nuhjuiset talot ovat aina kiinnostaneet minua.

I made his oil painting in the summer cottage of my childhood in Hankkila, a village near Rauma. The picture shows the half collapsed barn of a deserted farm house. It was nice and tough to paint this rather big picture (95 x 110 cm) in the open air. It seems that old and shabby buildings are always interested me.
