SAM

Lontoossa käydessä majailen useimmiten Bloomsburyssä: kävelymatka teattereihin, hyvät yhteydet maanalaisella ja busseilla eri puolille, puistoja ja vilkasta elämää. Hotellin kulman takana on Queen´s Larder -pubi ja sen vieressä vihreä Queen Garden. Puiston toisessa päädyssä on hauska ja koskettava muistomerkki. Sam-kissa kurottelee kivipaadelta maahan, ehkä puluja. Vieressä oleva kyltti kertoo, että Sam-kissan patsas on pystytetty Samin ja hänen emäntänsä Patricia Pennin (1914-1992) muistoksi. 

Visiting London I usually stay in Bloomsbury: walking distance from theatres, good connection by tube or bus to all directions, parks and busy life. Just around the corner of the hotel beside Queen´s Larder pub there is green Queen Garden. At the other end of the park is a fun and touching memorial. Sam the cat is reaching from his stone flagstone perhaps towards some pigeons. A sign beside explains that Sam´s statue was erected in memory of Sam and his mistress Patricia Penn (1914-1992).
